What the app sends
ToolSuite has no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising. The application contacts our servers in exactly two cases:
- License activation and periodic validation. The app sends your license key and a SHA-256 hash of your Mac's hardware identifiers (never the serial number in clear text) plus a short label you can read in the app (for example “MacBook Pro”). This is used to count activated Macs against your plan.
- Software updates. The app checks
updates.mactoolsuite.comfor a new version (Sparkle). The request carries the app version and macOS version; no identifier.
Everything the tools do — scanning, cleaning, imaging, syncing — happens locally on your Mac. Run history and scheduled tasks are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/ToolSuite and never leave the machine.
What we store when you buy
Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as merchant of record and handles your card data; we never see card numbers. We keep your email address, the plan purchased, the order reference and the hash of the license key, so we can reissue a key or process a refund. We do not sell or share this data.
Retention and deletion
License records are kept while the license is active and for tax purposes as required by law. Email [email protected] to release an activated Mac or to ask for deletion of your data; we answer within a few business days.
